Community Transportation Association of Virginia
CTAV was formed to bring together transportation providers, agencies that use those providers, transportation vendors and any other transit concerned individuals to improve mobility for everyone.
Aproposed passenger rail service, crossing the Commonwealth of Virginia on existing tracksusing modern European-style rail cars for maximum safety and comfort. When this plan becomes reality, it will help ease highway congestion and provide new travel options for residents and visitors.

Southeast Highspeed
Rail Corridor Association
The Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor (SEHSR) is one of five originally proposed high speed passenger rail corridors designated by the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) in 1992. The corridor was designated as running from Washington, DC through Richmond, VA and Raleigh, NC to Charlotte, NC with maximum speeds of 110 mph. It is part of an overall plan to extend service from the existing high speed rail on the Northeast Corridor (Boston to Washington) to points in the Southeast.
